Soft Yes Games was a company that me and a few friends set up to do as a placement year instead of doing a placement year at an already established company. At the end of the year, me and the artist in the group managed to produce Tiny Mouse Trap, a 3D platformer inspired by The Borrowers. The game consisted of different dungeon with their them being based on an object in each hub area so the dungeon based on the fridge would be really cold.
My role in the company started off as just the programmer but by the end of the year I was also managing and designing all parts of the game. Since I was the only programmer I worked on AI, UI and gameplay. I also put the art into the levels and fixed any bugs.
